The world is changing fast. Technological and industrial developments are being rolled out ever more quickly, which means employees need to continuously keep their knowledge and skills up to date. In the port, where a small error can have huge consequences, safety is an important issue. Precisely for that reason, SAM Safety was set up in 2015. SAM is an abbreviation for Safety At Mainport. SAM gives employees safety training by means of short 10- minute training modules. Whereas at SAM the emphasis was on more effective training, Bolster Safety also focuses on understanding the capabilities of the team. What is it doing well? Where is there room for improvement? Who needs additional training? The ability to adjust effectively and efficiently, in other words. Bolster Safety offers specific tools to keep the expertise within the team up to standard and identifies risks in order to improve safety with the help of concrete actions.
